    The UNAR office will be CLOSED on the following dates:

    • December 24 - January 4, 2026

    Applications and Renewal Forms submitted during this period will be processed in the order received.
    Certifications will be backdated to the date the Renewal Form was submitted.
    Please allow 5–7 business days for processing after we return.

Testing Site Information

UNAR partners with the testing sites (below) across the state to conduct testing for nursing assistant certification. Each site is run independently and sets their own testing schedule.

The majority of testing appointments are scheduled through your TMU portal once training is complete and test fees have been paid. Some test sites offer walk-in appointments or must be contacted for test scheduling. Testing appointments offered as walk-in or by contacting the site are not viewable in TMU.

The Salt Lake City campus offers both the Skills and Knowledge exams. The Knowledge Exam must start on time, no late arrivals - NO EXCEPTIONS. Must arrive with enough time to find parking and check in at least 15 minutes prior to the appointment. We highly encourage all examinees to arrive one hour prior to the test appointment to navigate traffic and accidents, find parking, and find our testing center.
